Often, cancer treatments can only be provided at hospitals and medical center (chemotherapy or radiation treatments, for example). Many families deal with financial crisis as a result of unexpected costs and cannot afford owning a vehicle or affording taxis. In addition, even If the children are able to travel alone, more likely than not, their weakened immune system prevents them from using public transportation. Therefore, the frequency of the hospital visits becomes a burden on the family.

Hayim Association offers direct transportation reimbursements, and in specific cases covers all transportation costs for emergency visits. This way, parents can continue their daily routine to provide for their family.
